EMBRACE YOUR UNIQUENESS
When I was younger, I didn’t think I was beautiful enough and I was the ugly duckling. I always found myself feeling like the odd one out because I was very stubborn and outspoken. But as time went by, I began to see my own uniqueness and the qualities that I possess which others didn’t have and then I grew to become a beautiful young woman if not the most beautiful like my dad professed. This brings me to the topic; Embrace your uniqueness. Embracing your uniqueness means accepting yourself the way that you are and recognising that what makes you different is your superpower.
REASON WHY YOU SHOULD EMBRACE YOUR UNIQUENESS
If you constantly try to be like another person, you are setting yourself up for
Strife
Comparison
competition

1. STRIFE: Strife is the constant struggle, quarrel or clash and this can happen amongst family members, friends, colleagues, associates etc. The reason for this is because you want what the other person has and vice versa. Strife brings conflict, antagonism and enmity and can make one a bitter person who is never happy for other people.
2. COMPARISON: Comparing is the act of looking at the similarities or differences between two things. When you compare yourself to others, you begin to look at the things that that they have which you do not have. Comparison is a thief of Joy because you are trying to be like the other person when you really don’t know the insecurities that person is facing. You end up comparing yourself to them based on false information. It will surprise you to know that the person you are comparing yourself to secretly wants to be like you. Comparison makes you devalue yourself, over appreciate others and it is damaging to self-worth. Learn to be contented with who you are and what you have.
3. COMPETITION: Competition is the act of striving to gain something because you want to win and feel superior to the other person. Some competition are healthy while some are not. When a competition brings conflict and it becomes a do or die affair, then it is no longer healthy. If you feel inadequate and believe you are not enough, then you will find yourself constantly being in competition with people.

You also have unique gifts, talents and personality.
You can never be adequately compared to anyone else, the way you were brought up by the people surrounding you, your education, your life experiences have made you the person you are today. It is the combination of everything that you have learned and the various adventures through your life that make you truly different from everyone else on this planet.
Because you are such a special being, you do have a unique purpose and mission in life. Dare to be different; uniqueness is what creates the world. Conformity tears the world apart, stop blindly following the masses because it won’t fit you.
Trying to fit in breed’s competition that will make you always trying so hard to keep up because that person you are competing with may have some privileges and have access to resources more than you do. It is also time consuming and ineffective. Competition comes with a big prize that you may not have the resources and capacity for. When you compete, you eventually fall short in the end because you do not have these resources available to you and this can cause damages to you emotionally, physically, morally etc. If you truly want to live a fulfilling life, you should embrace yourself alongside your shortcomings and flaws. You need to love yourself because you are a master piece and the spice of life. Focus on being the best version of yourself!
