THE POWER OF WORDS

Share

The words that we speak are powerful that is why we need to watch the words that we speak. The power of words cannot be overemphasised. Words are seeds you sow and if you sow positive or negative seeds, you will reap same eventually. The words you speak are life and will eventually become part of your life. If you sow mangoes, you cannot expect to reap bananas . So it is when you sow negative words, you cannot reap positive things in your life.

Some people are fond of using negative words such as I can’t, I won’t, I will never, I just can’t, it is not possible, I can’t help myself, I am hopeless, I can’t live etc. Pay attention to the words you speak, they are spirit and life. The world was formed through words, as such the words you speak can take form in your life. A parent who is fond of calling the child dumb, dull cannot expect that child to do past that, it is impossible.

Some people would say I am a realist so I say things the way they are . I don’t deceive myself. Being a realist has everything to do with knowing the power in your words. This is not a make believe talk or speech, this is an awareness speech to make you know that there is power in your words.

HOW WORDS IMPACT US

The brains can separate speech into music and word. It can distinguish between languages and also separate words into negative and positive, give it meaning and transmit it to where it stores up. This then begins to impact ones life.

When people listen to music they don’t like often, overtime, they begin to sing along with it and eventually like it. This is because it is stored up somewhere in the brain and retained in the long-term memory. In the study of human memory, this is called consolidation. Consolidation is the process of establishing a memory trace after the initial acquisition. After Consolidation, re consolidation takes place which is the process of previously consolidating memories being recalled. The process continues repeats itself. Recall or retrieval of memory refers to the subsequent re-accessing of events or information from the past which have been previously stored in the brain.

When you are fond of speaking negative or positive words, you brain consolidates it and eventually re-consolidate or recalls it. You then begin to act it out and believe it as your reality. Where as, it is only based on what you have fed yourself with overtime. I encourage you to start speaking positive words. Your words are spirit and life
