WHAT IS THE OPPOSITE OF BROKENNESS?

It means to be undamaged, unbroken and to be in one piece. When you are unbroken, you become whole and wholeness means to have good health but not just good health.

According to the world health organisation ‘Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity’.

Wholeness is not just about your physical, mental and social well- being, it is about your spiritual wellbeing as well.

WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS ABOUT WHOLENESS

Dear friend, I pray that you are doing well in every way and that you are healthy, just as your soul is heathy. 3 John 1 vs 2 (ISV)

A healthy soul is one that is spiritually whole and to be spiritually whole is having a relationship with God.

10 WAYS TO HEAL FROM BROKENNESS

  1. SET YOUR EXPECTATIONS ON GOD AND NOT ON MAN

In order to avoid being disappointed, you have to set your expectations on God and not on man. Man will always fail no matter how close they are to you or what promises they make. Stop depending on people for your happiness or waiting on them to complete you. Only God can complete you.

  1. PLAY YOUR PART AND LET PEOPLE PLAY THEIR PART

You need to understand that everyone has a role to play in any relationship you have with them. Play your part and let people play theirs. When you carry people’s burden too much, you will burn out. A relationship should always be a two way street.Stop pouring into relationships that don’t pour back into you. It is going to leave you high and dry.

  1. STOP TAKING PEOPLE PERSONALLY

Taking people personally is making them live rent free in your head. People should only live rent free in your head when they are a good tenant. People are going through their personal issues and will sometimes try to project it unto others. This is why you should not take people personally but empathise with them.

  1. BE A SPIRITUAL WARRIOR

To be a spiritual warrior, you have to feed yourself spiritually by having a relationship with God. We are spiritual beings and if our spirituality is not fed, we are not complete. Take time out to pray, fast, meditate.

  1. STOP STRESSING OVER WHAT YOU DON’T HAVE CONTROL OVER

Stop stressing over what you do not have control over because if you do, you are wasting the time you are supposed to use to focus on the things you do have control over.
